IFAK & Trauma Kits for Law Enforcement
What is in a law enforcement IFAK?
An IFAK is an individual first aid kit, carried by one officer for one casualty. These kits are built to control serious bleeding until trained medical responders arrive, and they are designed to be used by officers who are not medically trained.
Choosing between the IPOK and the IAK
Both kits are vacuum sealed and sized to carry on the officer, in a vest pouch, a BDU pocket or a bag. The IPOK holds a C-A-T tourniquet and nitrile trauma gloves. The IAK is the compact option for controlling and covering a penetrating injury until trained responders arrive.
Building your own setup from parts
Officers who prefer to assemble their own carry can choose tourniquets, hemostatic gauze, dressings, nitrile gloves and carry cases separately in tactical medical gear.
